Sehnsucht 202 (1932)
Luise's debut film, released when she was 22 years old, is a musical comedy-romance set in Vienna. It's a case of mistaken identity when Luise and Magda Schneider reply to a lonley hearts advertisement but end up repying to the wrong partners - one looking for a stenographer's job, the other to be a millionaire's acquaintance. The film features songs by Richard Fall, including Ja, der Himmel über Wien and Parfümlied, and was based on an original story by Karl Garkas and Emmerich Pressburger. The story was also filmed in French the same year, by the same production company, crew and director, but with a French cast (Madeleine Ozeray and Christiane Delyane played the leading ladies). Two years later a Turkish version, directed by Muhsin Ertugrul, Milyon avcilari, was released.
I have been unable to confirm if the film stills exists but there are some photos from the film in the Sehnsucht 202 gallery, taken from contemporary German film magazines.
